Job Overview:
At SCORES™ Educational Institute, Learning Coaches play a crucial role in guiding students through their educational journey in a blended learning environment. Coaches are responsible for empowering students to take ownership of their learning while providing the support needed to enhance their academic, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Student Guidance and Support:
- Provide personalized support to students to help them understand their own learning needs and styles.
- Offer advice and strategies to improve students' self-management in areas such as behavior, learning habits, and attendance.
- Challenge and motivate students to achieve their full potential in both academic and personal growth.
- Promotion of Self-Esteem and Resilience:
- Employ techniques that promote and reinforce self-esteem and resilience among students.
- Encourage students to set and achieve goals that align with their personal and educational aspirations.
- Feedback and Communication:
- Provide regular and constructive feedback to students on their progress, achievement, behavior, and attendance.
- Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
- Educational Planning and Monitoring:
- Assist in the development of individual learning plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, adjusting strategies as necessary to cater to evolving needs.
- Implementation of SCORES Model:
- Integrate the principles of the SCORES model into daily interactions and educational strategies.
- Educate students on the components of the SCORES model and how it can be applied to their learning and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- Passion for education and genuine interest in student development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of educational psychology, behavior management, and learning theories is preferred.
- Experience in a teaching or coaching role is beneficial but not required.
- Must possess a current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Obtaining the Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card:
- All candidates must provide a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire.

Training:
- All new hires will undergo a paid training program to become a Certified SCORES™ Learning Coach.
Commitment to Professional Development:
- Coaches are expected to participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated on educational trends and refinements in the SCORES™ model.
- Annual recertification is done through participation in an ethics course.
